Certopus is a powerful and reliable solution for digital certificates and badges. It lets you issue verifiable digital credentials with ease. You can design, bulk generate, mass email, verify, white label and track your certificates and badges using Certopus.

But what if you want to create a more structured and engaging learning experience for your recipients? What if you want to guide them through a series of certificates and badges that build on each other and lead to a final goal? What if you want to reward them for their achievements and motivate them to continue learning?

That’s where Pathways comes in. Pathways is a feature that allows you to create learning paths for your recipients. You can define the sequence and prerequisites of the certificates and badges that they need to earn. Pathways can help you create engaging and personalized learning experiences for your recipients. You can also track their progress and completion of the pathways.

Terms to be used:

  1. Module: A module is a certificate or badge that is part of a pathway. A module will be part of a Stage.

  2. Stage: A stage is a group of modules that are related to each other. Stages can help you organize your pathway into smaller and more manageable units. A stage can have a name and description.

  3. Pathway: A pathway is a collection of certificates and badges that you want your recipients to earn in a specific order. A pathway can help you create engaging and personalized learning experiences for your recipients.

  4. Final Stage: A final stage is the final awarding stage of the pathway where the recipient has completed all stages of the pathway with 100% completion. Once the pathway is completed 100%, the recipient will unlock the final stage where a certificate or badge selected as the module for the final stage will be auto issued, marking the pathway as complete. A final stage is a way to celebrate and recognize your recipients’ achievements and skills.

TL;DR : Recipient Category = Module
Multiple Related Modules = Stage
Multiple Stages + Final Stage = Pathway

How to Create a Pathway

A pathway is a collection of certificates and badges that you want your recipients to earn in a specific order. You can create as many pathways as you want for different purposes and audiences.

To create a pathway, follow these steps:

  1. In your Certopus organization, create an event and name the recipient categories as the modules for your pathway.

  2. For each recipient category, save a design that will serve as a module for your pathway.

  3. In your event, open the Pathways section.

  4. To enable the Pathway feature for your event, click the toggle on the top right.

  5. After enabling the pathway, you will see one stage that contains all your recipient categories as modules and a final stage. To create more stages between the first and final stage, click the “+” icon between them.

  6. For each stage, you can enter a name and a description that will be displayed on the pathway.

  7. To rearrange the modules in different stages, drag them from one stage to another.

  8. After arranging your modules in the required stages, assign a module for the final stage. To save your pathway, click the Save button on the top right.
